"NEWNESS IN THE NOW

A good and thoughtful king offered a ride in his carriage to a
weary traveler on the road.  Having been treated badly by evil
kings, the traveler hesitantly asked, ‘Sir, what must I give in
return?’  The understanding king replied, ‘Just one thing.
Your acceptance of the offer.’

Let the answer to life be as acceptable as it is simple. You will
travel fast! People endlessly ask, 'How can I feel well?' The only
possible answer is, 'Be well.' But this arouses instant resistance,
for it means we must turn away from old and habitual roads, and this
frightens our old nature.

Don't let habit tell you what to do.' Don't let the past control your
thinking. Accept the offer of newness in the now. Just accept."
