"Inward transformation magically changes everything else."

Do not allow a single mental activity to intrude into your dhyana (meditation). One should continue the practice as long as the ego or a sense of possession are not completely eliminated, i.e. till you can, at will and without effort, keep the mind free of concepts or activities. Otherwise you must go on with the practice.

The idea of difficulty is itself an obstacle to realization. It must be overcome. To remain as the Self is not difficult. This thought of difficulty is the chief obstacle. A little practice in discovering the source of "I" will make you think differently. Absolute freedom from thoughts is the state conducive to such recognition of the Self. Mind is but an aggregate of thoughts.

Every step you make forward now is forever."
"If you are content to be nobody in particular, content not to stand out, you align yourself with the power of the universe."

"Have patience toward yourself during the climb."

"People generally ignore advice. 'The sad thing is that most of you will listen to what I say, agree with it, and then do nothing.' "

"Constantly seek and remove obstacles to mental rebirth. With one
person it might be a stubborn clinging to the very ways which injure
him. To a second man it might be insufficient information about his
emotions. A third person could be losing himself in pursuit of weird
and useless systems. A fourth man might be unaware of how
imagination weakens reason. Remove your own obstacles, which
clarifies everything, just as music becomes clearer as you open the
doors between you and the orchestra."

"Q: How can we restrain the mind?

M: Will a thief hand over a thief? Will the mind find itself? The mind cannot seek the mind. You have ignored what is real and are holding onto the mind which is unreal, and are also trying to find out what it is. Was the mind there in your sleep? It was not, but it is here now. The mind is therefore impermanent. Can you find the mind? The mind is not you. You think you are the mind, and therefore you ask me how it can be restrained. If it is there, it can be checked. But it is not. Understand this truth by your own search. You will discover that searching for unreality is useless -- so seek the Reality, i.e. the Self. That is the way to control the mind."
