You need not cease thinking. Just cease being interested. It is the disinterestedness that liberates. Don't hold on, that is all.

Observe and let it fade away
"Whenever a thought of any kind appears in your mind, observe
its nature and let it fade away. This is the mind's natural way,
which keeps you fresh and healthy. If a negative thought appears,
do not cling to it in order to prolong its peculiar thrill. That
is blockage and self-injury, which few human beings see as injury
because they call it excitement. Your mind should flow like a
river, free and unobstructed, and when it does, your life as a
whole will flow with equal ease."

Detect the point of not understanding
I want you to be able to detect the precise point where your present
mind can’t follow the teachings, where the teachings rise above your
ability to understand.
Now the reason this is very important for you to detect this point
is because if you don’t you will go into an assumption and imagina-
tion that you do understand. And once you do this it means you have
simply gone into your own memories, taking a dozen or a thousand out
of there, got them all mixed up with what you heard and then you dev-
elop your own idea of what this higher truth is all about. Having
taken your own ideas about this higher truth as the truth, you have
now blocked yourself to receptivity to the actual facts of the
matter."

Abandon All Thoughts
"Listen to what I keep telling you and do not move away from it. Think of it all the time and nothing else. Having reached that far, abandon all thoughts, not only of the world, but of yourself also. Stay beyond all thoughts in silent being-awareness. It is not progress, for what you come to is already there in you, waiting for you."
"And whatever thoughts come to you in connection with the 'I Am,' empty them of all meaning. Pay them no attention."

Questing
30. Questing "Who am I" within one's mind, when one reaches the Heart, the individual "I" sinks crestfallen, and at once Reality manifests itself spontaneously as "I," "I." Though it reveals itself thus, it is not the ego "I," but the Perfect Being, the Self Absolute.
